WICHITA, Kansas – Two people were injured in a crash on K-254 near Oliver this morning.

Emergency crews responded to the crash involving two pick-up trucks just before 9 a.m. Troopers say the driver of a Ford pick-up, identified as Felix Garcia Vazquez, of Wichita, was heading eastbound on K-254 and swerved into the westbound lanes, striking another truck head on. That truck was driven by David Neil from Mesa, AZ.

They are still investigating the cause of the crash.

"We don't have any indication that alcohol or medication had anything to do with it,” said Trooper David Monckton with the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Both drivers are being treated for their injuries. Neil is in fair condition. Vazquez, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, is in critical condition. .
