SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kansas - A 50-year-old Viola woman is in the hospital after a violent crash in western Sedgwick County Saturday evening.
Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputies say the woman ran the stop sign at 327th Street West and 23rd Street South. She then hit a truck that was westbound on 23rd.
The truck was driven by a 20-year-old Garden Plain man.
The truck flipped and the woman hit a power pole.
The woman was taken to St. Francis by helicopter with critical injuries. The man was was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
