WICHITA, Kansas--Two teens are dead and another man is injured after a car accident at K-96 and Tyler Road.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Whitney Young of Wichita was driving at the time of the crash. Eighteen-year-old Holly Marler of Maize was also involved in the accident. Both died at the scene.

KHP officials say Young overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, which then left the roadway and overturned several times in the median.

Twenty two-year-old Jered Kannady of Maize was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The crash shut down parts of eastbound K-96 while troopers investigated.
