WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police believe they have busted a band of burglars responsible for more than a dozen burglaries of residences and businesses in the Wichita area since April.
Police were able to arrest four suspects at Pat and Bro’s bar at 1111 E. Lincoln just after 5:30 a.m. Monday. Police got an alarm on the business and upon arrival found two suspects inside the building and two waiting outside in a getaway car. The two in the car, a 49-year-old woman and 22-year-old man, were arrested immediately. The two other suspects, both 45-year-old men, ran to south to a vacant home near Bailey and Washington. One was found by a K-9 unit hiding in the grass. The other was found hiding in the vacant home’s basement.
The 45-year-old men and 49-year-old woman were all parolees. Police say one of the men is a habitual burglar.
Police believe the suspects are responsible for at least 15 robberies of businesses and residences in the Wichita area since April 9
