WICHITA, Kansas -- The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Silpada Designs held a holiday open house at Louie's Bar and Grill.
Proceeds from each jewelry purchase goes to the foundation.
"JDRF spends 85 cents out of every dollar on research to find a cure. This will definitely help get us to that goal," said Diane Tinker, Wichita Walk Coordinator.
This event and many others held earlier this year all lead up to the first-ever Walk to Cure Diabetes in April 2012 at Sedgwick County Park.
A special shopping event on Saturday helped benefit a good cause.
