WICHITA, Kansas -- Wichita City Council members are excited for the Shockers trip to the Final Four.
Council member Pete Meitzner sang a few seconds of a song he made up at Tuesday's meeting.
"You don't want to go to war with the Shockers."
Mayor Carl Brewer congratulated the team on their recent win, and several members even wore shirts in support.
"After watching these guys perform, there is no doubt we could be going to another game. Because it is an amazing team and an amazing coach and the supporters, every time you see it on television they wow you," said Mayor Brewer.
The mayor also urged everyone to the watch the game.
He also urged Wichitans to wear their black and yellow.
