WICHITA, Kansas -- For more than a year, KSN has teamed up with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program to match kids with mentors. Right now, 3,000 children are on that list. Today we introduce you to Tristan.
Eight-year-old Tristan is a bright and engaging young man with a quick smile and a sharp sense of humor.
We spent the afternoon at the Museum of World Treasures in Old Town. This is one of his favorite places.
Tristan has an unbridled passion for life, boundless curiosity and a seemingly endless revisor of energy that is flat out contagious.
Tristan is a huge Star Wars fan and he loves to play soccer but he really just wants to spend some time with a grown-up.
"I like to play video games, Lego’s and play on the computers -- and build models -- like race cars or little boats," said Tristan. "But I can’t build this big boat yet."
Who knows, perhaps you’re the one who could help Tristan build that boat and a launch it along with a new friendship.
If you think you’d like to be a mentor, but don’t have the time, there’s a "Big’s in School" program that only takes 30 to 45 minutes a week.
