LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Tyshawn Taylor scored a career-best 23 points and Kansas pushed its home winning streak to 29 games with a 100-79 victory over New Mexico State on Wednesday night.

Sherron Collins added 15 points and 11 assists for the Jayhawks (6-1).

Kansas shot 54 percent and had a 46-20 rebounding advantage, finally pulling away late after letting New Mexico State (2-3) hang around because of defensive breakdowns and sloppy turnovers.

The Jayhawks scored 17 points off 20 offensive rebounds and had a 56-24 advantage inside.

Cole Aldrich shook off early foul trouble to finish with 13 points—all in the second half—and 13 rebounds for Kansas. Tyrel Reed had 12 points, hitting consecutive 3-pointers to help Kansas finally put the Aggies away.

Jahmar Young scored 17 points and Jonathan Gibson added 16 for New Mexico State, which had 17 turnovers that led to 29 points for Kansas.
