FHSU Easily Wins Opener

HAYS, Kansas, August 29, 2008 -- Fort Hays State jumped on New Mexico Highlands early and never let up, winning 44-0.

The Tigers are led by former Butler CC quarterback Mike Garrison, who threw an early touchdown pass to Jacobb Irvin.

FHSU also got an early 77 yard interception return from C.J. Lovett.

Fort Hays State will play Colorado School of the Mines next Saturday in Golden, Colorado.
