Daughter bit by friends dog

My 4 yr old daughter was badly bitten by our friends dog and nothing has been done about it. No ticket, No charges, No compensation to help pay for medical bills! All because it happened in their own back yard! I can not believe they can get away with this!!!
What is the rest of the story? DId the dog owners give her permission to go into the backyard? Did she ask if she could touch the dog? Were you present when she visited the neighbor's yard?
File a claim with the insurance company that provides home owners insurance to the family who owns the dog. If the insurance company has denied your claim contact your own company. They will pursue on your behalf.

They don't have to be able to "get away with this". Call animal control and file a report, also your child should've been seen by her physician or the local ER who also must file a report. She might need a tetanus shot, too.
