Massive flooding In smith center, ks happend on may 23 2008. parks and road ways were flooded and over flowing after being threatened by wide spread tornado activity that night. even know no tornados touched down in the town. the aftermath of tornados that touched down in other counties sent a good chucnk of the rain into smith center.a local man, tony kuhlmann of smith center took pictures of the flooding after the rain had stopped. around 2:00 am tony took camera and went on the hunt for some good shots to show friends and loved ones and the flooding migh not be as bad as it would be by morning to afternoon. one pitcture shows of a house surrounded by water. all pictures were taken at night. hopefully more daytime pictures too come.
