Lightning Bolt in Derby

During the tornado warning I happen to have my camera in hand and saw this wall cloud and happened by luck to actuate the shutter the second the bolt landed. Right afterwards we went to our basement for cover because of the sirens going off. Quite an exciting evening at our household.

I do believe here in Wichita, The Big Ditch will prevent the arkansas river from flooding here in the city. The Big Ditch was built for this very reason back in the 50's.
