Amanda Aguilar

KSN News Reporter

Amanda Aguilar joined the KSN News team in August 2016, after graduating from American University in Washington, DC. Amanda received a master’s degree in Journalism and Public Affairs. During graduate school, she interned at NBC’s WRC-TV. One of Amanda’s most memorable experiences while living in the nation’s capital was covering Pope Francis’ visit to D.C.

After graduating from Dominican University of California in 2013, Amanda worked as a reporter for the Pleasanton Weekly, where she covered education and crime.

Amanda is from Fremont, California, which is less than an hour from San Francisco. She is a former competitive dancer, but still tries to take dance classes every once in awhile. She enjoys watching Netflix and doing any type of exercise that doesn’t involve going to the gym (yoga, Pilates, hiking, etc.)

Amanda is excited to cover news in Kansas. If you have a story idea or even a local restaurant suggestion (Amanda loves food!), email her at amanda.aguilar@ksn.com.
