Avery Osen joined KSN-TV in June 2021 as a Host of KSN’s lifestyle show, Good Day Kansas.
He is from Winfield, KS, and has three siblings and two awesome parents. Growing up, Avery was immersed in sports, whether he was playing them outside, watching them on television, or attending them live, especially Kansas City Royals and Chiefs games.
Avery is a graduate of Winfield High School and has earned an Associate Degree from Cowley College, and a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University. While at KSU, Avery was heavily involved with K-StateHD.TV, as on-air talent and working behind the scenes with filming, recording, and editing. Some of his favorite times in Manhattan were spent at Bramlage Coliseum and Bill Snyder Family Stadium. He continues to follow his alma mater and doesn’t miss watching any football or basketball games.
After graduating with his master’s degree in 2019, Avery was an instructor in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism at K-State. He taught audio, video and writing courses to all levels of students. One of his passions is helping others and being a connection for them and watching them grow in their careers.
Still following his passion in sports, Avery also covers the Wildcats and the Kansas City Royals for the Associated Press. He also works for the Kansas City Chiefs in their video department on game days. He worked for the team during their 2019 Super Bowl run and has a championship ring to prove it!
He is an emcee for the Wichita Wind Surge and can’t beat a night at the ballpark.
Avery enjoys hanging out with family and friends. He loves sports and being around those who he cares about the most. Being from Kansas, he can’t wait to see more of the great places and meeting the wonderful people in the Sunflower State.
