KSN News Reporter
Although I am from the smallest state, I knew at a young age that I wanted to do big things and contribute to my community! Raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island, my parents always encouraged me to follow my dreams and pursue my passion for the performing arts. From years of dance lessons and vocal performances, I realized before college that what I loved most about performing was connecting with people and telling a story, whether that was through a song or a monologue. In high school I became involved with my school’s online newspaper and it was from that moment on that I became interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism.
In 2015 I graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where I majored in Broadcast Journalism. During my undergraduate career I completed several newsroom internships with WPRI 12 in Providence, RI, New England Cable News in Newton, MA, and WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY. In college I saved some time to root for the Syracuse sports teams (Go Orange!) and am a BIG fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox!
I began my journalism career in North Dakota, and was able to cover several national stories there, including the Dakota Access Pipeline protest. I’m thankful for my experiences there, but am so excited for my next adventure in Kansas!
Outside of journalism, I enjoy singing, dancing, traveling, and cooking. If you have a story idea you can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’d love to share your story.
