Tiffany Lane joined KSN as a reporter/multimedia journalist in November 2017. The southern California native, is excited to live and work in beautiful Wichita.
She most recently worked as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KTIV, the NBC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. There, she was able to follow her love of politics and cover presidential candidates on the campaign trail leading to the 2016 election. Her political coverage led her to win a regional Emmy for “Daytime Newscast- Blizzard after the Caucus.” Tiffany is also the recipient of an Eric Sevareid Award for her reporting in Pilger, Nebraska- “One Year After the Storm,” and an Iowa Broadcast News Association Award for her political coverage on the Iowa Caucuses.
Prior to KTIV, Tiffany worked as an entertainment reporter and social media coordinator in Los Angeles, covering red carpets for television shows, movies, music and awards shows.
Tiffany completed her Master’s Degree at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. During her time there, she covered immigration and demographics while living in Chicago. She also covered stories at the White House, Homeland Security and other key government locations when working in Washington, D.C. Her favorite part of the program was living and working as a resident journalist at eNews Channel Africa, a network television station in Cape Town, South Africa.
Tiffany received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from California State University, Northridge. During that time, she won a Golden Mike Award for her sports anchoring in “Best Newscast More than 15 Minutes.” While completing her studies, she also interned at Dateline NBC, KTLA, NBC Nightly News and NBC Los Angeles.
When she is not out covering stories, Tiffany likes to spend time with family and friends, attend music festivals, travel around the world and cheer on her favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
