Warren Sears is the Weekend Morning Meteorologist and joined the KSN team in June 2021. Growing up in Kansas, the atmosphere always intrigued Warren, especially when it came to severe weather and thunderstorms. After shadowing a few Broadcast Meteorologists from his hometown, Warren knew that this was the industry he wanted to be in.
Warren comes to KSN after spending a few years in La Crosse, Wisconsin working at WXOW News 19. There he covered the extremes of the Upper Midwest. From blizzards to tornadoes and extreme bitter cold, he got his forecasting start in one of the most complex areas in the country.
Prior to Wisconsin, Warren received an Atmospheric Science degree from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk). Warren is excited to be closer to Lawrence so he can catch a few basketball games this season. Outside of work, Warren loves to get outdoors. Hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, you name it! He also considers himself a foodie, especially when it comes to local hole-in-the-wall places. If you have any recommendations on where to eat in town, or some outdoor places to explore in the state, send them his way (email@example.com). Warren is also eager to make connections in the community, so when you see him out and about, go say hi!
You can catch Warren on weekend mornings from 6 to 8 AM and a few Noon shows throughout the workweek.
