Coming up this Friday Wichita celebrates First Friday which is a display of artists of all mediums. The community heads downtown to enjoy a beer, good company and to consume art in the form of music, hand made goods edible creations and more. This First Friday, March 6th, 2020 First Friday goers will be able to watch an incredible documentary outlining the progressive movers and shakers found in our own backyard. Caitlin Slemp, Producer with Free People Film Productions presents her first documentary entitled And She Did which depicts the incredible, innovative actions of Alicia Ybarra of Vanya Designs, Cindy Claycomb of the Wichita City Council, and Lela Meadow-Conner of mama film, along with appearances from Lacey Cruse of Sedgwick County Commission, Andrea Hattan of The Hive, and Lai-L Daugherty of WSU Tech. These women and their ambitious insight sparked the inspiration for the film, And She Did. This First Friday showcase will feature an all-female artist lineup, woman-owned businesses, and female-led stories that are changing the face of Wichita!
