Diana Burress Sunflower Silo

Good Day Kansas

If you have traveled in or around Augusta you may have heard of the beautiful Sunflower Silo! If not, you’re missing out and you must plan a trip! We heard about this beautiful piece of public art from our friends at Marketplace 67010 in the Red Brick District in Augusta I immediately reached out to the artist behind the beautiful sunflower silo, Diana Burress.

Diana shared the story behind the art project and the difficulties she faced learning how to operate the lift, balance 40 ft up in the air and paint on the round non traditional canvas. She is incredibly talented as you can see and did a wonderful job depicting one of her favorites things, sunflowers. The Sunflower Silo has quickly become a hit across August and beyond. If you can swing by snap a photo and post it, Diana loves to see community members enjoying the Sunflower Silo.

You can also see other art made my Diana at the Marketplace 67010 in Augusta. Reach out on either Facebook page for more information.
