DIY: Fall Crafts with Mason Jars

Good Day Kansas

This week officially kicks off the fall season, which is still a little bit crazy but that means we had to turn our #DIY into a Fall Themed Event.

Today I showed an easy way to make easy Fall decor or even a sweet gift for a loved one this season. To start you need:

  • smooth mason jar
  • silk leaves
  • mod podge
  • foam brush
  • raffia
  • tea light (optional)

The only difficult part of this #DIY is the dry time. When I have made these in the past I have actually recruited the help of a fan to help cut down the dry time. Steps are really quite simple:

Star with applying mod padge to the mason jar

Wiat utnil it is tacky and apply the silk leaves to the jar

Wait until tacky again and then go back over with mod podge. Repeat this step twice and really make sure you have the edges down or they will start to peel off.

Finally you can add the raffia around the top for a nice finish.

One other option if you prefer would be to drop a tea light inside and add some light to this fall inspired #DIY

I would love to take your recommendations of other #DIY projects to share. Or if you complete this project please send a photo! Check out our other #DIY segments on our website.
