Kansans are proud of the work ethic, entrepreneurship and just genuine spirit on our people. For the second year now I have had the opportunity to work with Tiya Tonn, Coordinator of Farm 2 Fork and So Much More and event that aims to expose children and families to the impact farmers and agriculture has on our community and beyond.
Tiya also works with Butler County to provide a program called Ag in the Classroom which afford children the opportunities to learn the ins and outs of farm and agriculture with hands on real life experiences. This program aims to encourage more Kansas children to continue the legacy of their families who own and work on farms and in the ag industry.
Tiya does a phenomenal job organizing the event that directly benefits and supports the Ag in the Classroom program. The event, Farm 2 Fork and So Much More has evolved into quite the experience! There is home cooking, sightseeing, education opportunities, socializing and more. if you are interested in participating or supporting the Ag in the Classroom Program please reach out t Tiya! You can do so on Facebook.
