Students in the Maize Elementary School District just finished running 26.2 miles over the course of six weeks on Monday. Kelli Scott is the Maize Elementary School Marathon Race Director and said she hopes the kids take a lot of lessons away from the program. The main lesson she stressed was taking something big and working a little bit at it each day, makes the task not seem as large. Over 100 kids participated in the extra circular activity and parents watched them finish the marathon program at the Maize High School Football Field.
