I had such a great time hanging out with Alan Brooks in his home studio in Andover! Alan is the owner of Art Towne and is quite an accomplished artist. Alan started out the segment by sharing that his background is actually in aviation and he was a pilot for over 25 years and during that time was always working on his art. After he transitioned from being a pilot he decided to work on his art full time and opened Art Towne. That then led to painting parties for both adults and children. That was the main purpose of Art Towne when they had their studio in Mulvane, but due to family complications, Alan had to pivot to what he does now: Private parties and painting lessons! As you can see in the segment, there is a wide variety of fun paintings and ceramics you can do whether it be in a private lesson or with a small group. Alan will walk you through step by step and teach the budding artists how to make their creation everything they want it to be. A large portion of Alan’s clients right now are people that are either homeschooling or do school over Zoom and are missing those in-person art lessons that are so important for young students. Alan is a great artist and teacher and it was such a privilege to spend time with him. You can also reach out to Alan for any commission work you want him to do! The best way to reach out is to shoot him a message on his Facebook page which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/arttownellc/
