A few months back we took our #KSNSummerRoadTrip and made our way across the state. We were greeted by community members in over 25 towns and one of those spots was Abilene. We had the pleasure of hanging out at Little Ike Park and enjoyed going live for our 5pm and 6pm news from Abilene.
Located right next to the park is this beautiful mural showcasing the who and what that make Abilene great. In the “A” we see a nod to the Greyhound Museum, the “B” depicts the Eisenhower museum and so on. I was drawn to the image of a cowboy riding in the sunset in the letter “N” and the beautiful flag in the last “E”
Abilene is such a special place with amazing people, if you have time to make the trip I highly recommend it. You can visit Visit Abilene on Facebook for more information and other attractions.
