The Wichita Children’s Home provides a safe space, compassion and a positive, loving environment for children in crisis. On any given day around 150 children are living in the Wichita Children’s Home.
It is the belief of the #WCH that everyone deserves a safe place to sleep. For runaway, homeless or at-risk youth, that place can be the CrossRoads Shelter. At the WCH CrossRoads Shelter, youth are provided a hot meal, clothing, hygiene products, access to a shower, and resources to get their lives moving in a more positive direction. There are other programs and area of the home that cater to different needs of the children that call the WCH home.
Debbie Kennedy shared insight with me today as to the high priority the faculty and staff at the Wichita Children’s Home place on caring for the children and consistently providing a safe space for any child in crisis. We will continue to work with The Wichita Children’s Home to support their efforts in caring for our children. Please consider donating or learning ways to volunteer.
