Avery Johnson is only a junior at Maize High School, but you wouldn’t think so by all the NCAA D-I offers he has waiting on him. The quarterback at Maize is having an outstanding season is gaining the attention of recruiters at the next level. Johnson had 379 passing yards and four touchdowns in his previous game against one of the best teams in the state, the Derby Panthers. Although he will be playing somewhere in college, Johnson is just keeping to the present and wants his team to make a deep run at the state tournament this season.
