Ranchin’ Misfits started with Owner, Shelly Decker gathering a few pieces of jewelry and selling them out of her home. Today it is a full on boutique with a beautiful storefront that offers everything from women’s clothing/accessories to men’s and children’s clothing. The vibe is western, but there are many crossover pieces.
Ranchin’ Mistits carries shoes, purses, leggings, sweaters and most recently has added customization to the list. You can rent a tux while at Ranchin’ Misfits or even find one of a kin hair accessories for women and children. Rustic, chic pieces are scatter throughout the store and you can even find the occasional home décor piece, like a full cow hide that would compliment any western themed home or office.
Ranchin’ Misfits has grown into a popular destination for those looking for fun fashion, but what they don’t know is the story behind the beautiful boutique. Shelly’s Mother battled cancer for many years and when the medical bills kept piling up Shelly knew she had to do something to help. That’s when she started gathering jewelry and started selling out of her home. That grew to bringing in clothes as well. Soon she had customers requesting to make in home sopping appointments and more and more people wanted her collection to grow so Shelley did just that. She knew it was time to purchase a storefront. Shelly’s Mother did win her battle with cancer, but Shelly is so grateful for the time she had with her and the fact that her Mother had the chance to help out with Ranchin’ Misfits when she was feeling up to it.
Meeting Shelly and seeing the results of her hard work and selfless dedication to her Mother, Family and community was such a treat. Shelly is still very active in the fight against cancer and is often times raising money for other community member heavy in the battle.
