I have lived in Wichita for just about a year and a half and on a weekly basis am reminded of the love affair Wichita has with the world of aviation. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had learning stories about why that is and today had a great time exploring the Kansas Aviation Museum with Executive Director, Tim Norton.
Unfortunately like many other places the museum was closed to the public during the pandemic. During those few months the team at the Kansas Aviation Museum took the opportunity to deep clean the entire museum and venue and also update many of the displays.
Tim was very excited to show off the newly upgraded and reopened Latner Learning Center and encourage families to bring the kiddos out to try some of the new elements! Most notable would be the simulators fly a plane of your choice from the airport of your choice. This is truly a unique hands on experience for children to enjoy!
The Kansas Aviation Museum is supported by donations from the community and earned revenue from admissions and events. Please consider taking a visit if you have time! Also checkout their Facebook Page for information on upcoming events and new exhibits.
