Things are certainly on the RISE in Downtown Wichita as of late! If you have been downtown in the last few months you may have seen evidence of construction and felt a bit of fresh new energy! One major reason is the newly renovated and upgrade Fidelity Bank Car Park. This ‘parking garage’ goes far beyond simply meeting the parking needs of the Fidelity Bank employees. It is also home to the first-ever rooftop urban farm in our state.

RISE Farm is located on the top of the Fidelity Bank Car Park and is a unique, fully functioning farm that grows a variety of fresh produce. This was a vision of many minds that collaborated and with a bit of sweat equity, tons of planning, and a steadfast vision to provide a unique service to Downtown Wichita. Owner and Operator of RISE Farms, Leah Danner Garcia, and the Fidelity Bank team came together to create something special and are passionate about sharing it with the community.

Produce grown at RISE Farm will be the main source of food for First Mile Cantina, the new restaurant at the bottom of the Fidelity Bank Car Park. The food will also provide local ingredients to numerous restaurants around the Wichita area and will also be able to be ordered and picked up curbside grocery style for our community. Be on the lookout for tours of the farm coming soon. Complete with solar panels, fresh produce, and an indoor greenhouse this farm is unlike any other!
