Tina visited the Good Day Kansas set today to share about Sew It Forward’s initiative. Sew It Forward is a group of people around the world that gift quilts to families after they have lost their homes and all belongings to a fire. Tina started with one quilt that was gifted to a couple in Kansas. Since then there have been many others made. As of June 2018 alone, the group has gifted 13 quilts so far and have 33 more to make. Tina’s goal is to complete a quilt every week for the cause. The group started out as a women’s group, but now the membership includes male stitchers as well. Some have asked how they can help if they are busy and can’t stitch right now. The group always has needs for batting, backing, thread and shipping costs. Sew It Forward has volunteers contributing from across the United States!
