Test Drive With Orr Nissan Wichita: Paxton’s Blessing Box

Good Day Kansas

Today’s Test Drive segment was very different and for good reason. I had the chance to learn from Orr Nissan Owner, Aaron Mount why he is so passionate about supporting a local 4th grade student’s efforts to help those ‘who need it most’. In October 2016 the vision of then 6-year-old boy, Paxton Burns, was to put a Blessing Box in his front yard in hopes of providing those in need food and a reminder that someone cares. Paxton and his incredible mother, Maggie joined me to share about the initiative and how it has grown into a state-wide resource for the community. There are now 64 blessing boxes across the state that are filled with food items and Paxton’s impact has not slowed down at all. The Orr Nissan team sets up a Blessing Box during their Hoops For Hunger event on Saturday March 21st 9am – 6pm Please bring non-perishable food items and take your shot a wining a $100 gift card!
