I am so happy I showed up hungry to this segment! Shawn Gordon, aka Mo, the founder, owner and head chef at Mo’s Hut Wichita showed me how to make an amazing and authentic Hawaiian dish! The dish we made was a Korean short-rib and he put it together with some mouth watering garlic shrimp. It was so cool to get a behind the scenes look to see all the steps behind their delicious dishes. Mo had a lot of it prepared beforehand, like the meat getting marinated for 24 hours, but there were still so many steps. And all of them were worth it! My favorite part of the segment was as Mo was describing his ingredients, he was sharing about his culture and why it meant so much to him. Of course, Mo had to plate it with some carbs on the side!
