After months of waiting the Wichita Baseball 2020 team has officially unveiled their new name and logo and they did it in grand fashion at a reveal party. There were many logo teases that were launched by the organization leading up to the actual reveal to get a feel for how the community would react and where their preferences leaned. The end result is the AAA Team for the Miami Marlins will be known as The Wichita Wind Surge. After an amazing night full of nostalgic elements nodding to America’s favorite past time, beginning with old fashioned rendition of ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame” by the Ad Astra Quartet and ending with fans purchasing their favorite team’s new gear and players mingling, showing off their new uniforms, signing autographs and taking pictures, The Wichita Wind Surge was born. Hearing from leadership the message is a nod to the powerful growth Wichita is experiencing. The community is surging forward with tremendous momentum, almost being nudged forward by the wind, something Wichitins know very well. Opening day is April 14th, hope to see you there!
