Kelly Arnold is dropping out of race for Secretary of State. Arnold made the announcement Thursday morning.

Arnold said he will focus his efforts on electing more Republican to office.

Arnold’s pullout leaves Rep. Keith Esau, R-Olathe, who has filed, and House Speaker pro tem Scott Schwab, R-Olathe, seeking the GOP nomination, with no Democratic candidates filed yet, but Sen. Marci Francisco, D-Lawrence, and Democrat Brian McClendon, Lawrence, a former Google and Uber vice president, have announced for the race, as has Stillwell Libertarian Rob Hodgkinson.
