WICHITA, Kansas – City of Wichita officials updated the response Monday to the recent winter storm.
Over the weekend, city crews cleared primary streets with a full fleet of 50 plow trucks.
There were 100 plow truck drivers working rotating, 12-hour shifts. City crews were able to cover 1,500 miles of snow emergency routes.
Secondary and school routes were treated Sunday afternoon.
City personnel also monitored conditions overnight to respond to any icing on the roadways.
