Clemens & Keith on hand for Kansas Stars’ second NBC World Series game

WICHITA, Kansas (KSNW) – Sparked by an Adam LaRoche two-run homer, the Kansas Stars knocked off the Liberal Bee Jays on Monday night 8-3 at the 82nd annual NBC World Series.

Featuring a host of ex-MLB players, the Stars are participating in their first-ever NBC World Series at Wichita’s Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Former MLB pitching standouts Josh Beckett & Tim Hudson played and batted in the game. Country music singer Toby Keith threw out the first pitch and Roger Clemens was also on hand. Clemens will reportedly take the mound on Wednesday for the Stars against the NJCAA national team.

Improving to 2-0 with this week’s win over Liberal, the Stars have also clinched a spot in Thursday’s quarterfinals.
