3 charged with capital murder in July deaths of Wichita couple

Crime

Capital murder charges have been filed against three people accused of killing a Wichita couple and dumping their bodies in Arkansas.

Sonny and Pauline Carpenter’s bodies were found in a shallow grave in the Ozark National Forest in July.

The Kansas Attorney General’s office says the two were killed in Barton County while attending the county fair.

Their bodies were then driven across state lines.

Kimberly Younger, Michael Fowler and Rusty Frasier are each charged with capital murder.

Their bonds have been set at $1 million.

The three are currently in jail in Crawford County Arkansas — awaiting extradition.
