A police chase left a suspect injured after a violent crash in south Wichita.
It happened Thursday evening at I-135 and Hydraulic. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy spotted a stolen SUV and tried to pull it over.
That is when the driver took off. Deputies said the chase ended when the driver crashed.
“The vehicle was involved in a collision with a vehicle that was exiting the southbound exit ramp to I-135, and the vehicle flipped and hit a utility pole,” said Lt. Dan Hershberger.
The driver was treated for minor injuries. She was wanted on several warrants.
Several other people were in the SUV including a child. They were not hurt.
