Garden City police arrested a 45-year-old man in connection to rape and aggravated burglary
Police say a man raped and injured a woman inside her home on December 18. The woman did not know the man but was able to describe him to police.
On Saturday, a suspect was identified and located. A tip was received from someone who recognized the suspect’s truck from a recent social media post. Officers received additional information as to where the driver and the vehicle were located.
Michael W. Couch was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, kidnapping, sodomy, battery, and rape. He is currently in Sherman County custody. He is awaiting transport to Finney County.
