Hutchinson police investigating fatal shooting

Hutchinson police are investigating a fatal shooting. It happened Tuesday night around 6:44 p.m. in the 500 block of North Washington. 

Officers arrived and found 18-year-old Norman Cushinberry with a gunshot wound. Officers and EMS tried life-saving efforts but were unsuccessful.

A short time later an officer was flagged down by a driver carrying a man with a gunshot wound. It’s believed 18-year-old Tristan Delaney was shot at the North Washington location.

Police arrested 26-year-old Curtis W. Bemis Garcia on suspicion of first-degree murder. He’s being held on a $500,000 bond.
