A man in his 30’s was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after an attack in west Wichita, but police said he is expected to live.
Wichita police responded to a cutting call around 1:45 a.m. in the 500 block of N. Edwards.
“When they got here, they found a residence with several adults living in it,” said Sgt. John Bogle. “There was a disturbance that happened here, and during that disturbance, one of the individuals suffered a severe laceration to his arm.”
The victim was allegedly attacked with a machete, but Bogle could not confirm what kind of weapon was used in the attack.
“There’s been a couple different descriptions,” he said. “I’m not prepared to release the weapon but it was a sharp instrument.
Police described the suspect as a white male. However it’s an ongoing investigation, and no further details could be released.
