Man pleads guilty to animal cruelty in sexual assault case of puppy

Justin McClellan, the man arrested in May on suspicion of having sex with a 5-month-old pit bull puppy, has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty. 

According to Dan Dillon with Sedgwick County, McClellan pleaded guilty in court Friday. 

McClellan was booked on multiple offenses in May including animal cruelty, criminal sodomy and domestic battery. 

The arrest came after a 56-year-old woman told police he battered her after she witnessed him having sex with the dog.

Wichita police say a 55-year-old man has been booked into jail on suspicion of having sex with a 5-month-old pit bull puppy. 

The unidentified man was booked on multiple offenses including animal cruelty, criminal sodomy and domestic battery. 

The dog, who has now been named Frazier, also shows signs of healed injuries. 

Wichita police are investigating an animal cruelty and domestic violence case after a woman caught her boyfriend having sex with a 5-month-old pit bull puppy. 

It happened Tuesday at a home in the 1300 block of North Meridian.

The 56-year-old woman told police her boyfriend battered her after she witnessed him having sex with the dog. The boyfriend left the scene.

Right now, police are still looking for the boyfriend and haven’t arrested him. 

Police said the investigation is ongoing. 

The dog is being cared for at an emergency veterinarian.
