A man wanted for attempted homicide has been arrested in Riley County.
According to a media release from the Riley County Police Department, officers responded to 200 Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan at approximately 8:55 this morning.
Authorities said they arrested 25-year-old Jeffrey Vermont Porter of Wilsey in connection to a shooting in Wichita. It happened in the 2400 block of South Glendale on Feb. 6. A 21-year-old man sustained upper gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Porter was wanted on a $250,000 Sedgwick County warrant for attempted homicide and a no bond Harvey County warrant for probation violation.
