One man was wounded Monday afternoon during a shooting in south Wichita. Wichita police said the incident occurred in the 1200 block of South Lulu shortly after 6 p.m. That’s south of Lincoln Street and east of South Hydraulic.

Officers said the victim was involved in some type of gun sale transaction near Harry and Washington streets when multiple suspects forced the man into their vehicle, took him to an alley on Lulu, and shot him in the leg.

Police also said the suspects took the man’s clothes.

Investigators said the man knocked on the back door of a church at the location on Lulu where someone inside the church called 911 to report the shooting. The man was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Chevy Equinox with black rims and tinted windows. The suspects are still at large.
