A Wichita mother who pleaded guilty in the death of one of her twin babies may not have to go to prison.
Police said Christy Rollings and the baby’s father were drunk the night before they woke to one of their twins not breathing.
At her sentencing Tuesday, Rollings expressed remorse.
The judge gave her a prison sentence but said she could serve it as probation.
He also gave her a two-year jail sentence, but he’ll reconsider it after a mental health evaluation.
The child’s father, Kyle Kempton, is set for a jury trial on Monday.
