One injured in early morning bar fight

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 23-year-old man was transported to the hospital with a laceration to his hand after being injured in a bar fight early Friday morning. The fight happened near 32nd and Rock around 1:30 at Mulligans Pub.

“When we arrived, we spoke to several people who were involved or witnessed the incident. It appeared that there was a large fight that occurred,” said Sgt. Paul Kimball.

Police found evidence that shots had been fired out the in the parking lot.

“Nobody was injured or struck from that gunfire,” said Sgt. Nikki Woodrow, Wichita Police Department.

Right now, they are trying to figure out what led up to the fight.

“Basically, putting together the stories, and then making sure that we are getting all the interviews done and trying to determine who is involved and not involved,” said Sgt. Kimball.
