A Park City man has pleaded guilty Wednesday to brandishing a firearm during a robbery at a Wichita credit union last year.

Mack W. Colvin, Jr., 32, of Park City pleaded guilty to one count of brandishing a gun during a crime of violence.

Colvin admitted that on December 19, 2017, he robbed the Wheat State Credit Union at 1400 S. Oliver. He pointed a handgun at the tellers and demanded money.

Court records show an employee was able to take down Colvin’s tag number on the car he was driving at the time and police were able to connect Colvin to the crime.

Colvin’s sentencing is scheduled for December 17.

According to U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister, both parties have agreed to recommend a sentence of seven years in federal prison.
