WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Police are investigating several late night drive-by shootings in south Wichita.
One happened in the 1600 block of East Crowley around 11 p.m. A 27-year-old man was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg and shoulder. His injuries are non-life threatening. Police found multiple bullet holes in the home. Bullet holes were also located at a home nearby on Crowley. No one inside that home was injured.
Around the same time, a drive-by shooting was reported in the 2400 block of Mosley. Police said multiple bullet holes were located at the home. No one inside was injured.
After those drive-by shootings, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 4300 block of Deer Lake to investigate a man firing shots into the air. Deputies located a stolen Chrysler 300. A 32-year-old man was booked for outstanding warrants. A firearm was also located.
Right now, investigators are working to determine if the suspect arrested was connected to the drive-by shooting cases.
