Police look for vehicle in fatal hit-and-run Sunday

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police are looking for the driver in a Sunday morning hit-and-run that left 20-year-old Lavirgil Jones dead. It happened near 2nd and Ridge at 3 a.m.

On Wednesday, police said they are looking for a 2000 to 2005 white or gray Cadillac DeVille with possible damage to the front end. It was last seen driving north on Ridge.

Several witnesses say Jones was in the road when a car struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111 or police investigations 316-352-4871.
