Police: Woman arrested after firing handgun at three people in south Wichita


WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police said a 22-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly firing a gun at several people outside a home in the Planeview neighborhood. 

It happened in the 3000 block of South Clifton around 12:20 p.m.

Police said the woman, identified as Briaunna L. Hernandez, was in her car when the shots were fired. 

“Three people were outside. They weren’t injured,” said officer Charley Davidson, Wichita Police Department. 

No damage was reported to the home. 

Hernandez was located in the 4100 block of East Ross Parkway and was arrested. 

She was booked into jail on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
